Ultimate Ears has a new portable speaker called the HYPERBOOM. We take a quick look at how it looks and what it has to offer.
HYPERBOOM
Looks
From the first impressions, the HYPERBOOM does look a lot like the Xbox’s next gen console.

On the top are your controls: Volume Up/Down, Power On/Off and input source controls.

On the sides are the various inputs and the power source.

Features
According to the promotion material, the HYPERBOOM has ‘powerful precision woofers, huge passive radiators, and soft-dome tweeters deliver a high-fidelity listening experience’.

How much louder is the HYPERBOOM compared to the other ultimate ears speakers? Here’s a comparison chart:

The HYPERBOOM can also adjust itself to different environments. ‘The adaptive EQ reads the room (or patio, or rooftop) and automatically balances the sound until it’s perfect for your space.’

Another interesting thing to note is that the HYERBOOM also acts as a power outlet – it can charge your mobile device while you party.

The HYPERBOOM connects via Blutooth 5.0 and supports Spotify (Android), Amazon Music (with subscription), Apple Music and Deezer (premium). It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts for 24 hours and has a waterproof rating of IPX4.
Availability
The HYPERBOOM is priced at USD$399.99 and is available for pre-order here. It ships on 1st March 2020 in the United States. For those outside the United States, do check your local retailers for availability.
