New Amazon Echo line 2019: Echo Dot with clock, Echo (3rd gen), Echo Studio

Who can’t get enough of Echo speakers? All of us! Amazon yesterday launched three new Echo models. It’s more of an incremental upgrade save for their most premium model.

Echo Dot with clock

Not much has changed compared to the previous Echo Dot (3rd gen). All specs remain the same. It’s basically an Echo Dot (3rd gen) with a digital clock display built it. This could very well be your new alarm clock.

Price: USD$59
Release date: October 16, 2019

Echo Dot with clock.

Echo (3rd gen)

This your new standard echo. It is touted to sound better with ‘new premium speakers powered by Dolby’. What’s the difference between this and last years Echo Plus (2nd gen)? This year’s standard Echo (3rd gen) doesn’t come with Zigbee support. Which I think shouldn’t be a problem to most users.

Price: USD$99
Release date: October 16, 2019

Echo (3rd gen).

Echo Studio

The Echo Studio as the name suggests is the highest in the Echo line up. Built inside are 5 speakers which produce ‘powerful bass, dynamic mid range, and crisp highs’. Because it is a premium speaker, Amazon has included Dolby Atmos support. If you want to bring it to the next level, connect it to another Echo Studio while listening to music or watching movies (pair with Fire TV Cube (1st Gen or 2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K or Fire TV (3rd Gen)).

Price: USD$199
Release date: November 7, 2019

Echo Studio.
