Cleaning instructions for your Apple Card

Majority of credit cards are made of plastic; the Apple Card is made of titanium. With that, comes a page of instructions on handling it.

Leather wallets are a no-no

“Some fabrics, like leather and denim, might cause permanent discoloration that will not wash off.”

The last thing you worry about is getting your credit card dirty. Well, not so, if you’re an Apple Card holder. And worse still if you use a leather or denim wallet. According to the instructions, leather and denim can cause permanent discoloration that will not wash off. The solution for those having denim/leather wallets? Probably switching to metallic card holder type wallet.

Apple Card doesn’t really like your leather wallet.

Not just any cloth

“Gently wipe with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free microfiber cloth. “

So you got your card dirty. Thinking of using that multi-purpose cloth that’s hidden in your drawer? Stop. Because, for the best results, you need a slightly damp lint-free microfiber cloth. That should be easy though, just head to your local hardware or departmental store and get one. For better results, Apple recommends using isopropyl alcohol to wipe the dirt off.

Handle with care

It is indeed amusing to see cleaning instructions for your credit card. But then again, we’re talking about Apple. For full instructions on the Apple Card head here. And for guides on handling other Apple products with care, head here.
