Spotify Lite is a slimmer version of it’s popular Spotify app and is directed at users who have storage constraints or whose phones are not up to speed. Today we take a quick look at the differences between Spotify Lite and Spotify (Full Version).
The home screen is almost the same save for some minor differences. For one, podcasts aren’t available in Spotify Lite. What greets you instead is the ‘Made for you section’.
Search is also identical except that the search bar doesn’t mention podcasts. The aesthetic of the Spotify Lite’s version here is cleaner.
The main difference here for Spotify Lite is the omission of the shuffle option and the inability to stream to other devices (i.e. wireless speakers).
The main reason to use Spotify Lite is the app only requires 9.4MB of storage. Spotify (Full Version) on the other hand requires 28MB. This is suitable for those that have limited storage on their devices.
