Welcome to the guide to set up your Philips Hue bulbs. By the end of theses steps, you’ll have your Philips Hue up and running!
Setup
Step 1
Power on the Hue Bridge and connect it to your router via the LAN cable. If everything’s connected, all three indicators should be on. The three indicators are: Power, Network and Internet.

Step 2
Download the Hue app (Android and iOS) and launch it.

Step 3
After the app is launched, tap on ‘Search’ to discover the Hue Bridge. After discovering the Hue Bridge, tap on ‘Set up’.

Step 4
Press the circular button on the Hue Bridge. This is to inform the Hue app which bridge you want to setup. Then you will be prompted to update it with the latest firmware.

Step 5
After the update is done, you’ll now create your rooms. Enter in a name for area where you hue bulbs are and assign the bulbs to it. For this example I’ve named my room as ‘Living Room’ and assigned ‘Hue color lamp 1’ to it.

Step 6
The room is displayed with the room name and the number of Hue bulbs assigned to it. Now tap on the ‘next’ arrow. You’ll be greeted with a congratulatory message!

Step 7
Setup is done and can now start controlling the bulb.

Setup Completed
