Urbanears releases Lotsen. Their latest connected speaker.

Urbanears may not be a familiar brand with the most of us but this Scandinavian outfit may just catch our attention with their line of connected speakers. Particularly the Lotsen which has just been added to their speaker family.

Lotsen in Vinyl Black.

Measuring at 172mm x 193mm x 115mm, the Losten is the smallest of the 3 speakers; The other 2 being Baggen and Stammen. In terms of looks, its covered in fabric material on all sides and has a volume and source knob on the top. Driving the Losten is a 1˝ neodymium dome tweeter and a 4˝ woofer with an audio power output of 20W. Connectivity is a major plus point as its got everything covered. It has Chromecast built-in, Bluetooth (Classic + Low Energy 4.2), Spotify Connect, Apple Air Play and an AUX port.

Variety of connections available.

This is where it gets interesting feature-wise. You’re able to set and choose 7 of your favourite playlists (Spotify) or radio stations using the source knob. All you have to do is turn the knob to a number and push it to start playing. The Lotsen also supports multiroom playback with 2 or more speakers.

Set up to 7 Spotify playlists or radio stations.

Pricing is at USD$199 (RM772.62). Currently it’s only available in Europe, the US and Canada. No word on when it’s coming to Asia. Stay tuned to jumpadevice as we keep track of this one.
